Datia (Hindustan Reporter) Four children died due to drowning in the water filled in the pit during Ganesh immersion on Tuesday evening in village Nirawal Bidniya under Civil Line police station area in Datia district of Madhya Pradesh. The deceased include three girls and one boy, aged between 15 and 16 years. At the same time, three children have been saved. However, all three have been admitted to the hospital in critical condition. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has expressed grief over the accident.
Datia Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma said that on Tuesday evening, the children of village Bidniya took the idol of Lord Ganesha present in the house to a deep pit filled with water near the Siddhababa temple to immerse it, where during the immersion, the children tried to enter the pit. Tried to. During this time, seven children started drowning as the water became deep. A villager named Premnarayan Kushwaha, who was worshiping in a nearby temple at that time, saw the children drowning and reached the spot and somehow saved three children. As soon as the information was received, the villagers reached the spot and pulled other children out of the pit. The villagers took the children to the hospital, where doctors declared four children dead. At the same time, three children have been admitted to the hospital. Due to the critical condition of two of them, they have been referred to Gwalior, while a girl is undergoing treatment in Datia District Hospital.
As soon as the information about the accident was received, top officials reached the spot. Datia Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma and Additional Collector Rupesh Upadhyay reached the district hospital and took information about the case.
Superintendent of Police Sharma said that the deceased children have been identified as Ansh Pal son of Brajmohan, Pratigya Pal daughter of Jahar Singh, Krishna Pal daughter of Ramhajur Pal, Aastha daughter of Shriram. Meanwhile, Sapna’s daughter Jahar Singh, Dhruv and Ashiq Pal are undergoing treatment in the hospital. Here, Datia Collector Sandeep Makin has given instructions to ADM Rupesh Upadhyay regarding providing assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the relatives of the deceased.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said through tweet late night that the accident that happened during Ganesh immersion in village Bidniya of Datia district is heart-wrenching. Four children washed away in Morena, one 11 year old child died
At the same time, Vinod Kushwaha, a resident of Salai village in Rampurkalan area of Morena district, had gone to the fields with his wife and four children on Tuesday afternoon to harvest millet. During this time, his 11 year old son Sachin Kushwaha went to take bath in the Kwari river near the farm. When he started drowning, three elder sisters tried to save him, in this effort they also started drowning in the river. Vinod took out three daughters. But son Sachin got washed away in the water. After some time his body was found in the river.
