Vrindavan. The office bearers of Bharatiya Kisan Union Tikait protested against the undeclared power cut in Vrindavan and locked the power house by protesting at the power house located in Vrindavan Pagal Baba. Workers of Bhartiya Kisan Union Tikait wearing caps reached the electricity house raising deafening slogans of Bhartiya Kisan Union Zindabad, Baba Tikait Amar Rahe, Chaudhary Rakesh Tikait Zindabad, Naresh Tikait Zindabad. As soon as they reached the power house, they first locked the main gate of the power house, then the picketing started. Workers of Bharatiya Kisan Union handed over the memorandum to the SDO, JE who reached the dharna. On this occasion, National Publicity Minister Chaudhary Karua Singh, Metropolitan President Pawan Chaturvedi jointly said that undeclared power cuts are being done by the Electricity Department in Ratan Chhatri area of Vrindavan. The power supply is cut for about eight hours in the night. Due to which it has become difficult for the elders and children to live in this scorching heat. This is affecting the drinking water supply as well, but the officials of the Electricity Department are fast asleep. The people of the area are saddened by the power cut. The officials of the Electricity Department do nothing in the name of convenience. They only exploit the public. The officials of the electricity department harass the public a lot in the name of electricity bill in Mathura metropolis, but there is nothing in the name of facility. Activists of Bharatiya Kisan Union Tikait condemn this. Vrindavan City President Bhagwandas Nishad, Metropolitan Advisor Ghasiram Nishad jointly said that if the Electricity Department does not improve its functioning, then the workers of Bharatiya Kisan Union Tikait will be forced to protest indefinitely at the Vrindavan power house along with the farmers. Whose entire responsibility will be of the district administration. Harassment of the public in the name of electricity bill should be stopped. During the protest, the SDO and JE assured to solve the problem soon. After this the protest ended. Suraj Nishad, Mukut Bihari Nishad, Karua Nishad, Vinod Nishad, Faizan Qureshi, Sunil Luukut, Bihari Nishad, Ramesh, Vikram, Subhash, Akram, Monu, Mohit etc were prominently present on this occasion.
