    B infection found in 11-month-old girl among H3N2 virus Influenza A, growing concern in Gurugram

    Gurugram: Influenza B has also attacked in Gurugram amidst H3N2 virus. The Haryana Health Department on Saturday confirmed that an 11-month-old girl and a 55-year-old woman were suffering from Influenza B virus. The girl has been admitted to PGI Rohtak for treatment. At the same time, the woman has recovered after getting treatment in a private hospital. The child and the woman had a history of cough, cold and fever. While he has no travel history. All the family members who came in contact with them have been traced and kept under surveillance. Samples of 10 family members have also been sent for investigation. On Friday, the health department had confirmed H3N2 virus in a 4-year-old girl. After the confirmation of Influenza B type in two people in the investigation report that came on Saturday, the Health Department has appealed to the people to take precautions during the Covid period. So far, on detection of more than 150 suspected patients in the district, their samples have been tested. Reports of about 120 samples have come in these.

    ‘Don’t panic, it’s seasonal flu’

    District Surveillance Officer of the Health Department, Dr. Jai Prakash told that Influenza B is also a flu. Its cases also come in this season. It is less contagious than the H3N2 subtype of influenza A. Infection with Influenza B does not cause severe disease, its infection is also not rapid. In such a situation, there is no need to worry about it. This is a seasonal flu.
