The dates for the admission process for the undergraduate course in Delhi University (DU) have been announced. This time the emission process is starting from August 2. It will conclude on August 31. Whereas the process of admission in the post graduate course will start from July 26 and will continue till August 21. This was announced by the Acting Vice Chancellor of DU, Prof. PC Joshi. In a statement issued by the university, it has been said that there has been no change in the eligibility criteria for admission and fees for both merit and entrance based admission. 8 key points of DU’s UG and PG admission-
- Admission to DU’s undergraduate course will be done through registration cum application form. There will be a similar form for all colleges and departments. For admission to the post graduate course, the registration form will have to be filled one by one, but for applying for more than one program, the fee will have to be deposited separately.
- National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET 2021) for all PG programs and selected programs for undergraduate, MPhil and PhD programs. The date of entrance exam can be announced soon. DU will increase the number of test centers this time.
- Those seeking enrollment in PhD without passing NET will have to appear in DUET 2021. Apart from this, admission in Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Bachelor in Occupational Therapy, Bachelor in Prosthetics and Orthopedics and Master of Physiotherapy will also be done through DUET 2021.
- For admission on the basis of merit in the undergraduate course of DU, the cutoff will be released as in the previous years. The examination department of DU is working with the principals of the college to fix the cutoff.
- Admission will be done under extracurricular activities and sports quota on at least one percent of the total seats available in colleges. Colleges can take admission under extra-curricular activities and sports quota for a maximum of five percent seats.
- DU will not conduct trials of extracurricular activities and sports this time in view of the Corona pandemic. Admission will be done on the basis of merit / participation certificate.
- To help the students seeking admission, the admission department of DU may soon release the webinar along with tutorial videos on the university website. Apart from this, computer based help desk will be started. On which the facility of chat bot and email will be available 24 hours.
