2500 crores were sacrificed, 26 km long expressway could not be built in Greater Noida even after 11 years

Due to the negligence of the Greater Noida Authority, even after spending 2500 crores, the work of 26 km long expressway has not been completed. Not even one per cent work has been done on this project in 8 years.

Noida Expressway: 2500 crores spent, 26 km long expressway could not be built in Greater Noida even after 11 years
Sudhir Kumar, Noida:Due to negligence of officials of Greater Noida Authority, even after spending 2500 crores, the work of 26 km long and 105 meter wide expressway could not be completed even after 11 years. 1% work has not been done on this project since 8 years. This 105 meter wide expressway is to be built directly from the main market commercial belt of Greater Noida via Bodaki to Jarcha in Greno Phase-II. After making about 6 km, this expressway has been left incomplete. Let us tell you that in 2011-12, the Greater Noida Authority had identified 11 villages to build a 105 meter wide and about 26 km long expressway from the commercial belt of Greater Noida to Jarcha. The land was bought directly from the farmers. About Rs 2,500 crore was spent by the Greno Authority on this. The authority had purchased land directly from farmers of 11 villages, including Bodaki, Datawali, Nai Basti alias Bairangpur, Phulpur, Milak, Khatana, Ghanubas, Upralsi, Gulavathi Khurd, Mudiyani and Jarcha, through Bainama.

Connectivity was to be between Greno and Phase-2
The Greater Noida Authority’s argument was that there was a need to move development plans across the Delhi-Howrah Railline and National Highway-91. With the construction of this road, there will be connectivity between Greater Noida and Phase-2. Entrepreneurs and investors will go in that direction. A 6 km road was made from the commercial belt to Maicha village but after that the work was left incomplete. Due to this, not even a single major project could go on the other side of NH 91. After the construction of this road, it will be easy to reach the DMRC project as well as it will be easy to develop many big projects.

There was planning to connect with Gulavathi bypass

Amandeep Duli, ACEO, Greno Authority said that 105 meter wide road is to be connected to Hapur, Pilkhuwa and Gulavathi bypass for network connectivity. This project has been put in cold storage by making a 6 km road from the authority. The master plan of Phase-2 is being prepared which will be completed in a month. After that the work will be started after finalizing the alignment of this road.
