This could be a conspiracy to defame the NDA government.”

According to Gopalganj SP Anand Kumar, “Some people have died under mysterious circumstances in Muhammadpur village of the district in two days. 4 people arrested
At present, 4 people arrested in this case have been sent to jail by the police, while most of the people who died are from Scheduled Castes. It is being told that the deceased had allegedly consumed spurious liquor. At the same time, deaths have not been confirmed in Bettiah as well, according to SP Upendra Nath Verma, investigation is going on.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on the deaths due to drinking spurious liquor that, “The ban on alcohol has been imposed only for the good of the people. Alcohol is bad, so it is banned. The side effects of alcohol increase manifold by drinking adulterated liquor. I know that most of the people in the state are in favor of prohibition. There are only a few people who violate it.”
