2 owners of Sambhal cold storage arrested from Haldwani, case of death of 14 people due to roof collapse

Bansal had told on Friday that 14 people have died in this roof collapse incident and 10 people have been rescued safely. He informed that four people are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Moradabad, while 6 have been discharged. Sambhal is about 158 ​​km from Delhi and 350 km from the state capital Lucknow.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who was on an official visit to Moradabad on Friday, also visited the hospital where the injured are being treated. Yogi met the injured and inquired about their well-being and gave necessary directions to the officials. The Chief Minister has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of those killed in the accident and Rs 50,000 each to the seriously injured.

Earlier, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Shalabh Mathur had informed that a case has been registered against the cold storage owners Ankur Agarwal and Rohit Agarwal on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
