16 candidates in fray in cooperative society elections

Najibabad, For the post of Director of Cooperative Society Jaswantpur Akbar, Akbarpur Chaugawan, 16 candidates filed nominations for the post of Director.

The total number of voters in this seat is 163. In the same village Badiya, 2 candidates have filed their nominations. In which Kulwant Singh Upendra Singh has joined as a candidate. Jitendra Singh, secretary of Akbarpur Committee for Divyang, informed that RO Arjun Singh will be the election officer and assistant RO Kamal Singh will be there to make that election process successful. He informed that the election for the post of director will be held on 18th and the chairman will be elected on 19th March and election symbols will be allotted tomorrow from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Giving information, Jitendra said that Yeshwantpur Sangam Cooperative Society provides fertilizer worth Rs 1.5 crore to the farmers in a year and the society was in profit of three lakhs in 2022 and 2023. Due to which the members associated with the committee were given 9% as dividend and the committee provides loans to its farmers at 3% interest. He also talked about conducting the elections peacefully.
