Dearness Allowance, DA has been increased by the government. More than 8 lakh bankers and other employees will benefit from this. The rate of DA has been increased to 7% for the salaried employees as per the 6th Pay Commission.
DA of government employees increased by 12%
On 1 November 2021, the Department of Expenditure (DOE) of the Ministry of Finance said that the rate of Dearness Allowance in respect of employees of the Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies, who were earlier getting their salary from the Sixth Central Pay Commission, is now in the revised pay scale. The grade pay has been increased to 196% of the basic pay from the existing 189%. The increased DA will be effective from July 15, 2021. According to the 5th Pay Commission, the DA of the salaried employees has been increased by 12%.

DA of government bankers increased by 3 percent
According to the order of the Indian Banks Association, this time there has been an increase of 37 slabs in dearness allowance. Last time there was an increase of 30 slabs for August, September and October. The DA for August, September and October 2021 was 397 slabs. This has increased it by 37 slabs. That is, his DA has increased to 30.38 percent. Accordingly, the DA of government bankers has increased by more than 3 percent. It is worth noting that this is not the first time that the Finance Commission has increased the DA. Earlier in July also, the government had increased the DA of government employees. Last year, the country, which was hit by the Corona epidemic, stopped the pension and DA of government employees in view of the financial crisis. This year the government has reinstated it.
