Mumbai: The Indian Equity Benchmark showed mixed signals today. BSE Finance, Bankex and Realty are the sectors dragging down the index. On the other hand, BSE Power and the auto sector gained over 1.5%.

The BSE Sensex opened on a slightly negative note with a fall of 223 points and is at the level of 60,388.17. Top Sensex stocks are NTPC, Dr Reddy Laboratories, Titan, TCS and Mahindra & Mahindra. Stocks trading in red color are HDFC Bank, HDFC, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and Reliance Industries. In contrast, BSE Midcap is trading at a level of 24,949.61 with a gain of 197 points. Smallcap index has also improved by 388 points and is trading at 29,569.30 level.

The Nifty 50 index is trading at 18,022.55 points, down just 30 points. Nifty Bank is also trading at the level of 38,378.85 with a fall of 256 points. On Nifty 50 index, the stocks trading in green are Adani Ports, Eicher Motors, Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp and ONGC. On the other hand, HDFC Bank, HDFC, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and SBI Life Insurance are trading in the red.
