Department of Land Resources organized a National Workshop on Digital India Land Record Modernization Program to share best practices among States/UTs after a gap of two years. The National Workshop was to be organized earlier but due to COVID I kept getting delayed. Taking a big step, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister, Giriraj Singh said that now the land records of the country will be digital. Along with this, there will be a unique ID for all the land holdings on the lines of Aadhaar. Which will also be linked to the bank and the court. If need be, it will be known whether there is any liability or dispute of that land.
Registration of more than 25 lakh documents
Under the Digital India Land Record Modernization Program and Swamitva Scheme, the work of taking forward One Nation One Registration was done. The event was attended by delegates from across the states on the theme of Collection of Records, Centralization of Records, Convictions for People. Let us inform that more than 25 lakh documents have been registered using this system. Earlier it was seen that for registering the properties he had to make 8 to 9 rounds of different offices. However, now only going to the office twice gets the job done. According to the latest report, till now 94 percent of the village population has made the registry office online.

Computerization of land records has been completed in 600,811 villages out of total 656190 villages under the scheme. At the same time, this work is going on twice the speed in the cities. Let us inform that the workshop was inaugurated by the Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Giriraj Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development, Faggan Singh Kulaste as the special guest, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti. did. Apart from this, Minister of State for Rural Development and Minister of State for Panchayati Raj, Kapil Moreshwar Patil was also present there as a guest.
