The Narendra Modi government at the Center is kind to the farmers, one after the other, taking big decisions for the farmers so that they can benefit financially. The Modi cabinet has decided to increase the fair and remunerative price of sugarcane by Rs 5 to Rs 290 per quintal for the year 2021-22.
Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Piyush Goyal gave this information after the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by PM Modi. On the other hand, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that with this decision, farmers will get a guaranteed price of sugarcane. And farmers will be encouraged to cultivate sugarcane.
He said that with this the operation of sugar factories will continue in an effective manner and it will also ensure that the production of sugar in the country will be available to meet the demand not only for exports but also for exports. This decision will benefit 5 crore sugarcane farmers across the country.
Mahindra Minister Amit Shah also tweeted that the Modi government has taken many important steps from time to time to make farmers happy and empowered. I express my gratitude to PM Modi for the decision of maximum ₹ 290 per quintal.
He said, “This decision taken in the direction of Sugam Kisan-self-reliant farmer will increase the export of sugar and production of ethanol, which will increase the income of sugarcane growers.
