India has moved up 2 points in the list of Global Innovation Index 2021. India has jumped again in the list of Global Innovation Index. India’s Global Innovation Index has grown significantly during Modi’s tenure. The GII list has been released by the World Intellectual Property Organization and India is ranked 46th in this ranking, which has slipped two places to reach higher. India has made a lot of progress in this index in the last 7 years under the Modi government.
It was said on behalf of NITI Aayog that innovation has been the most powerful weapon for us in an epidemic like Corona and this innovation has a big hand in making our country self-reliant. In 2015, India was ranked 81st in the Global Innovation Index under the Modi government and gradually India has progressed to number 46, that is, India is improving a lot during Modi’s tenure.
On behalf of WIPO, it was said that the Innovation Index is a major basis for the social and economic development of the government. This innovation index has proved to be very helpful in the policies of the government.
