New DelhiThe price of gold and silver has come down further. According to HDFC Securities, gold fell by Rs 54 to Rs 45,080 per 10 grams in the national capital’s bullion market on Wednesday. It had closed at Rs 45,134 per 10 grams on the previous trading day. On the other hand, silver fell by Rs 573 to close at Rs 58,961 per kg. It had closed at Rs 59,534 per kg on the last trading day. The futures prices of both also declined. In the international market, gold fell to USD 1,743 an ounce, while silver was almost unchanged at USD 22.37 an ounce.

Gold prices on Wednesday fell by Rs 87 to Rs 45,982 per 10 grams in the local futures market as speculators created fresh positions amid strong spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in October fell by Rs 87, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 45,982 per 10 grams. It had a turnover of 2,755 lots. Market analysts said offloading of positions by participants led to losses in gold futures. Globally, gold fell 0.54 per cent to $1,742.60 an ounce in New York.

Silver futures fall
On Wednesday, silver futures fell by Rs 483 to Rs 60,151 per kg as participants reduced their bets on lower demand. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December fell by Rs 483, or 0.8%, to Rs 60,151 per kg in a business turnover of 3,777 lots. Gold was trading 1.32% down at $22.40 an ounce in New York.
