He told that Parineeti wanted to pay tribute to her grandmother on her wedding, for which she had got her grandmother’s ring added to the lehenga. Along with this, to make the actress’s customized lehenga more memorable, she had also added some memories of Raghav and their love story like coffee, London, phone booth, music, Khanda Sahib etc.

Manish Malhotra wrote in his post, “A few details make all the difference. I clearly remember discussing the design of the lehenga with Parineeti Chopra, who mentioned adding her grandmother’s rings. She wanted to pay a heartfelt tribute to her grandmother, who used to wear the same ring with her keys in her saree, which was a symbol of being the lady of the house.”
He further wrote “For Parineeti, when her grandmother moved around the house, the sound of her rings was a tune of strength and grace. That’s when I understood that we have to add that piece of heritage to that lehenga. Of course, we also added more elements that were important to both Raghav and Parineeti like London, music, Khanda Sahib and more. It was not just an accessory, but a piece of herself that Parineeti wanted to have on her special day.”
