New mothers are advised to eat almond molasses for a speedy recovery and nourish the body. In this article, we are telling you the method of making Almond Sheera. The dish is believed to be rich in carbohydrates, vitamins B12 and E, and minerals such as magnesium, copper, manganese and phosphorus.
If you or any woman in your house has recently delivered, then you must feed them by making almond molasses.

To make this recipe, you need 1½ cups almonds, 3 cups double toned or skimmed milk, cup ghee, cup sugar, 1 tsp thin saffron paste, 1 tbsp chopped pistachios.
How to make Almond Sheera
- Soak almonds overnight. It is better to eat soaked almonds. Remove its peel in the morning and grind it finely.
- Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan. Fry the almond paste on low flame till it turns light brown.
- Slowly add milk to the mixture and keep stirring continuously. Put the mixture in it.

- Now let it come to a boil and let the mixture cook till it becomes thick.
- Add sugar and cook for few more minutes till it becomes thick like pudding. Serve hot garnished with saffron paste and chopped pistachios.
