Noida News: The work of providing relief to the people is being done by the Electricity Corporation in different societies of Noida, an area near the capital Delhi. Under this, with the help of Multiple Connection Scheme, builders will not be able to collect electricity bills of common areas by giving electricity connections to the people living in the society. This effort made by the Electricity Corporation is expected to save a lot of money for the people. According to the information received, people covered under the Multiple Connection Scheme will be able to pay their electricity bills directly to the Electricity Corporation. To expand this scheme, the corporation has so far given multiple connections to 40,000 consumers of 35 societies of the city. It is being claimed that this will provide relief to the people from the arbitrary recovery being done by the builders.
Electricity Corporation is expanding the scheme
Let us tell you that the city electricity corporation is continuously expanding this multiple connection scheme. Under this, a campaign is being run to provide electricity connections in different societies. According to the information received, till now 40,000 consumers of about 35 societies of the city have been given connections under this scheme. At the same time, after giving the connection under this scheme, it has also been said by the Electricity Corporation that even after this, if the electricity bill of the common area is collected by the builder from the people, then the builder will be accused of violating the guidelines of the Electricity Supply Code 2005. Action will be taken against those accused of doing so.

To avail the benefit of multiple connection scheme, people living in builder society will have to fill the connection form and submit it at the nearest electricity sub-station. Along with this, it is worth keeping in mind that the process of providing electricity connections under the Multiple Connection Scheme can be started only after 51% of the people of the society fill the connection form. Let us tell you that this scheme was started in the year 2018. It is reported that till now connections have been provided under this scheme in societies like Apex, Panchsheel Apartment, Cape Town and Sikka Karmic Green.
