Despite the increase in population, there are many problems in reproduction
New Delhi (EMS). Worldwide, the sperm count of men has declined by more than 50 percent in the past 50 years. Apart from this, the decline in its quality is also increasing. Many blame plastic and fire-resistant furniture for this. The weakening of male fertility and genital mutilation brings men’s health crisis to the fore. Even though the human population on the earth continues to increase and it has reached 8 billion, there are still many problems in the male reproductive system. Experts say about this that humanity is not going to become extinct due to this. According to the revelations of two major studies, the number of sperm in men is falling rapidly.
In general, men’s sperm counts have declined by more than 50 percent over the past 46 years. Testosterone concentrations and sperm quality have also been declining at the same time. A research study documented a decline in sperm count among men in Western countries, while a new research published in the Oxford Journal Human Reproduction Update on Tuesday confirmed this. The new research has been led by scientists from the Hebrew University of America. It included an international team of scientists from Denmark, Brazil, Spain, Israel.
The first major research study in 2017 reported declines in sperm count among men in North America, Europe, and Australia, based on data from 1981 to 2013. A new research paper from the same team found 53 more declines in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Countries have been included. This research is based on the data till 2018. In other words, it has now been found in the investigation done all over the world that the sperm count of men is decreasing everywhere.
