In front of Gauri Kund, you have to go for Kedarnath Darshan on foot. Because there is no arrangement for any vehicle from here. Devotees go on a pilgrimage. The route from Gaurikund to Kedarnath will be 16-18 kms. One advantage of going by bus is that you will have to pay less fare. Talk about going to Kedarnath by train, then you have to go to Haridwar by train first. After which you will have to reach Gaurikund by taking a share cab, taxi or bus from there. Helicopter service is also available to go to Kedarnath. If you cannot travel beyond Gaurikund on foot then you can take the help of helicopter which will get you from Guptkashi, Sirsi and Phata. The fare for one side of the helicopter will be at least Rs 2300.
