This railway station has been closed for centuries
According to the information received, Begunkodar station of Jhalda of Ranchi Railway Division is known as haunted station. People have been considering the station as a ghost station for centuries, talks related to the ghost of the station started about 56 years ago. Which is not ending till date. Even today people believe that ghosts live here at this station.
However, till date it has not been proved whether ghosts are seen at this station or not. An elderly person told that in earlier times the station master was Baidyanath Sarkar. Who had completely lied after seeing the ghost.
Not a single train stops here
According to the information received, this railway station was completed in the year 1960. Ever since the railway station has been ready. From then till today it remains deserted. Apart from the station master, one employee lived here.
Due to ghost allegations, this station has been closed for many years. However, this station was opened amidst the agitation in 2007. But the condition was that no train would stop here.
