Cancer can spread from breast to other parts
According to a global study, a woman with early breast cancer may have a 22% risk of spreading to another part of the body. Eileen Morgan, PhD, of the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer, also said that some women are at higher risk of spreading cancer than others, including women diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age. At this point, the cancer becomes very difficult to treat and the risk of dying is high, he said. However, we do not know exactly how many people develop metastatic breast cancer because cancer registries are not routinely collecting this data.
