Nipah virus: Another big news is coming from Kozhikode district of Kerala regarding Nipah virus. Here today on Friday, a 39 year old man was found Nipah positive. This person was undergoing treatment in a private hospital. Before this, 5 people have already been found Nipah positive in the state. These include a 24 year old boy and a 9 year old child. It is being told that the condition of the 9 year old child is worse. The state government is keeping a close watch on all the positive patients and their close ones.

Let us tell you that after the death of two people in the state due to Nipah virus, the other five people who have been found Nipah positive, the state government has said that about 700 people have come in contact with the five people who have been found positive. Out of which 77 people have been kept in the serious category. The state government is keeping an eye on all the people. Apart from this, the state government has made about 58 wards in 9 panchayats as containment zones. It has been reported that a health worker is also included among those who are positive.

State government is working on alert mode

Let us tell you that in view of the increasing cases, the state government has issued an alert in Dakshina Kannada district. The government has also increased surveillance in the surrounding districts. As per the orders of the District Magistrate, all educational institutions, Anganwadi and banks have been closed. Apart from this, only shops selling medicines and essential goods have been allowed to open from 7 am to 5 pm.
