Meerut News: A three-day All India Farmers Fair and Agricultural Exhibition will be organized from October 17 to October 19 at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Agricultural University located in Modipuram, Meerut. Farmers from all over the country will participate in this fair.
Many types of stalls will also be set up here, through which farmers will display their products. Here they will be given information about many other topics including growing better crops at lower cost. The objective of this fair is to make farmers aware about modern farming.
Governor Anandiben Patel will inaugurate the fair
According to Professor KK Singh, Vice Chancellor of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Agricultural University, the fair will be inaugurated on October 17 by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Sanjeev Balyan and other guests. The aim of this fair is to increase awareness about new technologies among farmers.
Along with this, he said that farmers will be made aware about how they can earn more profits by cultivating new crops like strawberry, mushroom and dragon fruit.
More than 150 stalls will be set up in the fair
More than 150 different types of stalls will be set up in the Kisan Mela. Experts will be available to the farmers at each stall with information related to farming. Soil from a farmer’s field can also be brought. Farmers will get special information during soil testing, so that they can grow better crops in their fields.
Along with this, a special exhibition of coarse grains will also be organized, which will also display the seeds of the grains. He said that diseases have now become more serious than before. In such a situation, coarse grains can be an excellent medium for people to remain healthy.
