When did the turning point come
Jyoti says that after my pregnancy in the year 2018, my weight had increased. I could not give myself time with the baby and by 2021 my weight increased to 90 kg. This year we were shipped to UK. I saw that the people here are very healthy and fit. Most of the people here like to do outdoor activities like hiking, cycling and surfing in the mountains and also walk a lot. Due to my increased weight, I was not able to do any of these activities. That was the turning point in my getting fit and losing weight.
how was the diet
- Breakfast- 1 glass protein shake with cashew nuts and almonds
- at lunch- 2 roti or 1 bajra bhakri with 2 cups lentils or 1 cup vegetable soup. Pile with lettuce and buttermilk.
- Dinner- Either soya chaap with salad or protein shake with salad.
- Pre-Workout Meals- Drink 1 glass of warm water with lemon and ginger.

What problems did you face while being overweight?
According to Jyoti, due to being overweight, I was not able to do all that my friends were doing. The increased weight restricted me to indoor activities.

Jyoti says that I used to walk 7 kilometers every morning and evening at the speed of 6 kmph. After walking, I did 30 minutes of normal workouts both in the morning and in the evening. My workout regimen included exercises like sit ups, crunches, planks, pushups. I started with every 5 reps and increased it to 30 reps in a few months.

Jyoti says that during the weightloss, I realized that consistency is very important. I used to walk a lot every day. Walked more than 10 kms in a day, which helped me a lot in reducing weight.
how did you stay motivated
Jyoti says that now I take part in many outdoor activities with my friends. Including hiking, cycling, swimming. All these things have motivated me a lot.
What did you learn from losing weight
Jyoti says that losing weight is not very difficult. You make the best memories during the weightloss journey. During this time you are more energetic and can take part in more and more activities. If the weight will be less, then the energy to play with your child will also remain in you.
