In an interview to ‘Hindustan Times’, Zareen Khan said, “After my father’s departure, I had to handle the responsibility of my family. No one was there to help or guide me. It has been very intimidating and many people have taken it as arrogance. There was a time when I found myself lost in the industry. I wanted to do good work but I was not allowed to showcase my acting talent. People had made up assumptions about me, on the basis of which I was being judged. People thought I just had a pretty face.
Zareen Khan further says that “Even today people have different perceptions about me. I am thankful to Salman Khan. I would never have entered the industry if he was not with me. Because of him, I could be a part of the industry. But my real struggle started after joining the industry because during that time I did not know anything about here. Salman Khan is a very wonderful person and also keeps busy. I don’t want to be a burden to them. I don’t want to bother them for small things. Many people think that whatever work I have done till date is because of them but this is not true. Salman Khan is a very good friend of mine who is just a phone call away but I don’t want to disturb him. Doing so will weaken my struggle and hard work.
