Bollywood actor Sunny Deol has recently given an interview to a media portal in which he has declared himself bankrupt. Actually in that interview Sunny was asked about his journey as a producer. To this the actor said that he has stopped making films now. Explaining the reason for this, Sunny said that he becomes ‘bankrupt’ every time he does this. He told that “Today’s world has become very difficult. Years ago I could control things because the distribution was pretty normal. Since the corporate era has come, nothing has survived. It is difficult for anyone to stand there for long.”
He further added that “You have to do your own PR, run around and even then they will not give you the numbers of your theatres. Because he doesn’t want someone else to be standing there. In the last decade, I had to face a lot of difficulties regarding my films. You are trying to make a certain kind of cinema, but you don’t get support.”
Sunny Deol further said that now he wants to be only in the field of acting and is happy to be an actor. He said, “That is why I came into the industry. That’s why I became a producer and director, playing multiple roles. A person can do only one thing at a time. So I said drop everything, just be an actor. So now this is what I want to do. As an actor, I do as many films as I can.”
Gadar 2 all set to surpass Pathan at the box office
The film Gadar 2, which has been winning hearts of the audience ever since its release, is now very close to breaking the record of Shahrukh Khan’s blockbuster film Pathaan. In the last 19 days, this Sunny Deol film has collected Rs 465.35 crore at the box office. At the same time, the film has now reached very close to collecting 500 crores.
