Mumbai, (EMS). T-Series owner Bhushan Kumar’s troubles have increased. Bhushan Kumar has once again come into limelight in the rape case. The Bombay High Court has refused to quash the FIR registered against Bhushan Kumar. Bhushan Kumar had filed a petition in the court in the case of rape. Meanwhile, the woman who filed a rape case against T-Series owner Bhushan Kumar has withdrawn the allegation and the woman has also agreed to drop the case. The woman is ready to withdraw the allegations against Bhushan Kumar. But the Bombay High Court has rejected Bhushan Kumar’s petition while giving its verdict. Moreover, the court has said that a rape case cannot be quashed just because the victim gives consent… hence Bhushan Kumar’s troubles are increasing.
As far as the whole matter is concerned, Bhushan Kumar filed a petition seeking quashing of the FIR after the woman agreed to withdraw the charges and drop the case. A bench of Justices AS Gadkari and PD Naik held that mere consent of the complainant is not sufficient ground to quash the FIR alleging rape. In the rape case, the court said that the consent of the opposite party does not mean that the FIR will be canceled under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code. The next hearing of this case will now be on July 2, 2023.
- What is the whole matter?
On July 16, 2021, T-Series company came forward and demanded legal action after a woman made a serious allegation of raping and threatening Bhushan Kumar 3 times. The company in its statement dismissed all these allegations as baseless. Even before this, Bhushan Kumar was accused of sexual harassment by a model. On this, Bhushan’s wife Divya Khosla Kumar openly supported her husband and said that all this is a publicity stunt to get work and limelight, Bhushan Kumar is completely innocent.
