New Delhi. India’s star wrestlers are protesting against the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, President of Wrestling Federation of India. Many wrestlers including star wrestler Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia have accused Brij Bhushan of sexually abusing female wrestlers. In April, Delhi Police started investigation after registering a case against the President of the Wrestling Association. A new update is coming out in this matter.
4 people including 2 wrestlers have testified against Brij Bhushan Singh. Among those testifying are an Olympian, a Commonwealth Gold Medalist, an International Referee and a State Level Coach. All four have confirmed the allegations of at least 3 female wrestlers. According to Indian Express, Delhi Police recorded statements of 125 people from 4 states and these four are only among those 125 people.

On April 28, Delhi Police had registered 2 FIRs against the President of the Wrestling Federation of India, in which at least 2 cases of sexual favors in lieu of professional help, 15 cases of sexual harassment. 10 out of 15 cases are also of wrongly touching, molestation. According to the report, the coach of one of the complainants told that the wrestler informed him about Brij Bhushan six hours after the incident.
