    World Cup: PM Narendra Modi invited the Australian Prime Minister, called India for the World Cup

    New Delhi: It is just a matter of two weeks, from June 7 the final of the World Test Championship between India and Australia will begin. This match is also an example of the growing rivalry between the two teams. The competition between the two teams on the cricket field has become very tough in the last few years. Apart from the field, however, the relationship between the two countries has become very strong and cricket has also played a role in this. This is the reason why Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a special invitation to the Australian Prime Minister.

    PM Modi is on a foreign trip these days, where he reached Australia after Japan and Papua New Guinea. In Australia, where PM Modi met Australian PM Anthony Albanese, he also participated in a program of overseas Indians in Sydney. The Australian Prime Minister was also present in this event.

    Australian PM came to watch the World Cup

    In this event, the PM not only talked about his government and India-Australia relations, he also invited the Australian PM to visit India. Modi’s invitation was regarding the ODI World Cup to be held in India this year. The World Cup is to be held in India in October-November this year and to further the diplomacy of both countries through cricket, the Prime Minister invited PM Albanese to be a part of the tournament.

    This is the second meeting of the Prime Ministers of both the countries within the last 3 months. Even before this both had met on the pretext of cricket. Then in March, on the first day of the fourth Test match between India and Australia, the leaders of both the countries witnessed this match.

    Not only the Australian Prime Minister, but Australia’s Test and ODI team captain Pat Cummins and former veteran captain Steve Waugh were also present in Sydney’s program. PM Modi not only invited the Australian PM, but also urged Australian citizens and Indians living in this country to be a part of this World Cup. Inviting Australian cricket fans to come to India, Modi said that along with cricket, the brightness and pomp of Diwali will also be seen.
