    World champion will play in Ultimate Karate League

    Lucknow . In the Ultimate Karate League (UKL), a gathering of international level players will be held in Lucknow. World champions and European champions will take part in the league to be held here from December 3. All matches will be held at Babu Banarasi Das Badminton Academy. For the first time in the country, the UCL i.e. Ultimate Karate League will be organized from December 3 to 12. In this, the players of the country and abroad will show their talent.

    Rajeev Sinha, President of the Indian Professional Karate Council said that all the six franchise teams have been announced. He told that the first day will start with the match between Delhi Bravehearts and UP’s Rebels. The competition will be organized at Babu Banarasi Das Badminton Academy, Lucknow. It will be broadcast in one channel from 6 pm to 8 pm.

    He told that the teams playing in the league are as follows. Teams from Delhi Braveheart, UP Rebels, Bangalore Kings, Mumbai Ninja, Punjab Fighter and Pune Divine are participating. The match between Delhi Bravehearts and UP Rebels will start on December 3. December 4 Mumbai Ninja vs Bangalore Kings vs Punjab Fighters vs Pune Samurai. December 5 Bengaluru Kings vs Delhi Bravehearts & Pune Semurai vs UP Rebels. 6 December Punjab Fighters vs Mumbai Ninja and Delhi Bravehearts vs Pune Samurai. December 7 Bengaluru Kings vs Punjab Fighters and UP Rebels vs Mumbai Ninja. 8 December Punjab Fighters vs Delhi Bravehearts & Mumbai Ninja vs Pune Samurai. 9 December UP Rebels vs Bengaluru Kings & Delhi Bravehearts vs Mumbai Ninja. 10 December Punjab Fighters vs UP Rebels & Pune Semurai vs Bangalore Kings. December 11 First semi-final and second semi-final. The final will be played on 12 December.

    Rajeev Sinha said that the main objective of establishing UKL was to trigger an aspirational engagement between existing and future Karate practitioners. If the UKL event is successful, Lucknow can host its World Championship in 2024. (IANS)
