Mumbai . After playing a key role in Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) eight-wicket win over Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell admitted that the team will look to Saturday’s match when Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals take on each other. Bangalore are fourth on the points table, but their chances of making it to the playoffs will depend on Delhi losing the match. “We will be watching the Mumbai vs Delhi game very closely before the team reaches the playoffs on Saturday,” Maxwell said. I don’t mean Friday’s match. But if Delhi loses the match on Saturday, RCB will be able to make it to the playoffs.
Maxwell sent two players back to the pavilion in the power-play. He first took the catch of Gujarat batsman Shubman Gill, as well as dismissed Matthew Wade lbw in his over.
The all-rounder said that the team started well. Both the batsmen added 55 runs in the powerplay. That was followed by a huge century partnership, which helped the team win the match. However, Maxwell scored an unbeaten 40 off just 18 balls after du Plessis was dismissed and ended the match with a four.
Maxwell further said that, if I was out on the first ball, it did not matter, although I got a lifeline during this time. Brilliant delivery from Rashid Khan, leaving the ball touching the bail of the wicket, where the bail did not fall down and the ball went ahead and he was saved from getting out.
