Current cricket expert Akash Chopra took to Twitter and tweeted on the final venue of the World Test Championship, saying, ‘Why are the finals of the World Test Championship held only in England? Admittedly it is a neutral venue but it is completely different from Asian conditions. Why only one test match for the final? Why not organize a Test series to choose the World Test Champion? Why not organize neutral and one Test match each at home?
In another tweet, Akash Chopra said, ‘No tournament is played for 2 years to decide its winner. According to me there should not be only one match in the final of the World Test Championship. Test cricket is a strange game, it lasts for 5 days. The Test Championship lasts for 2 years. So definitely a 3-match test series can be organized for the final.
Keep in mind that India has reached the final of the World Test Championship for the second time in a row. In the first final match of WTC in 2021, New Zealand defeated India by 8 wickets. That match was played in Southampton, England.
