Bracewell scored the third fastest century for New Zealand
This dashing all-rounder from New Zealand scored the second ODI century of his ODI career on Wednesday. The left-handed batsman brought up his 100th century in just 57 balls. Bracewell also scored the fastest century for New Zealand in ODI cricket against India. Not only this, he became the third batsman to score the fastest century for New Zealand. Second fastest century against India
This is the second fastest century in ODIs against India. Earlier, Shahid Afridi scored a century in just 45 balls against India in Kanpur ODI in 2005, which is still a record. Not only this, he also equaled Dhoni’s record by scoring two centuries while batting at number 7.
Bracewell made international debut in March 2022
Bracewell is an all-rounder and made his international debut for the New Zealand cricket team against the Netherlands in March 2022. Bracewell was included in New Zealand’s Test squad against England two months later in May 2022.
Doug Bracewell’s cousin is Michael
He is a cousin of current international player Doug Bracewell and comedian Melanie Bracewell. Michael started playing cricket at the age of five. He started as a left-handed top-order wicketkeeper-batsman like his hero Adam Gilchrist. But later he started doing off-spin, which was the turning point for his career.
