The Asia Cup was played in Myanmar and he was adjudged player of the tournament for his outstanding performance. After his debut in the senior team, his game was not sharp and in the meantime he was also out of the team many times. After this he got a big chance in 2017. Since then, he kept improving his performance and achieved the distinction of becoming a member of the bronze medalist team in his Olympic debut itself.
Hardik is playing the first World Cup for India
The 24-year-old Hardik is playing his first World Cup for India. Earlier, he had participated in big tournament for India in Tokyo Olympics. Hardik comes from a place where the scent of hockey resides in the soil itself. There was a time when Hardik had decided to give up hockey but he decided to stay in the game after listening to his close relative and former drag fielder Jugraj Singh.
Hardik was born in Khusropur village in Jalandhar, Punjab and hockey is very popular here. This is the reason that Hardik is in India’s World Cup team today because of his hard work and dedication. In such a situation, the way he has scored a goal for the team against Spain in the opening match, it can be expected that he will be useful for India in further matches as well.
