Jadeja messes with Klaasen
Ravindra Jadeja got into a fight with Sunrisers Hyderabad wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen. Mayank Agarwal played the first ball of the 14th over towards the front. The ball went up in the air and it was a simple catch for Ravindra Jadeja. He went up to take the catch but Heinrich Klaasen, standing at the non-striker’s end, did not budge. In an attempt to take the catch, Jadeja collided with him and fell and the catch was also missed. Jadeja became very angry and started arguing with Klaasen. The umpire came in between and separated the two.
According to the laws of cricket, there was no fault of Klaasen here. He was already standing there and deliberately did not come in the line of the ball. Because of this, the law of obstruction of field does not apply here. That’s why Chennai didn’t appeal but Jadeja got very angry. The umpire separated him from the batsman and asked him to go towards the bowling.
Got Mayank’s wicket in the same over
Mayank Agarwal’s dropped catch didn’t do much damage to Chennai Super Kings and Ravindra Jadeja. Mayank came forward and tried to play the 5th ball of the same over. He missed and was stumped by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. After taking the wicket, once again Jadeja started speaking something after seeing Klaasen. But he didn’t pay attention and went to the other side. Chennai Super Kings restricted Sunrisers Hyderabad to 134 for seven in this IPL match, Abhishek Sharma scored the highest 34 runs for Sunrisers.
