New Delhi: Two days ago, the train accident in Balasore, Odisha has shaken the whole country. There was a fierce collision between the Coromandel Express, Bengaluru-Howrah Super Fast and a goods train on the evening of Friday, June 2, due to which several coaches of both the trains derailed and overturned. So far 275 people have lost their lives in this tragic incident, while more than a thousand have been injured. Saddened by this incident, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has announced the help of the victims.
Sehwag, a former opener of Team India, won hearts with his announcement on Sunday, June 4. Sehwag offered to help the families of the victims in his own way. Sehwag said in a tweet that he is ready to provide free education to the children of the victims in his school.
Free education at Sehwag International School
Many families who lost their lives in the accident were completely ruined, while many children also became orphans. Sehwag expressed his desire to bear the burden of education of the children who lost their parents. Sehwag wrote in his tweet that he can help at least this much in this hour of grief. For this, ‘Veeru’ has proposed to provide education under boarding facility in his ‘Sehwag International School’ located in Haryana.

Sehwag also saluted the people who reached the spot for help during this accident, who provided important help like evacuating people, taking them to hospital and donating blood.
Adani group will also bear the cost of school education
Not only Sehwag, but the country’s top industrialist Gautam Adani has also made a similar announcement. Gautam Adani, head of the Adani group, also told through a tweet on Sunday that the Adani group will bear the burden of schooling of the children who lost their parents.

CBI investigation of the accident
As far as the accident is concerned, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has recommended a CBI inquiry into it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited the spot a day earlier and assured strict action against the culprits. At the same time, the movement of trains started on both the down lines at the place of the incident late on Sunday evening.
