Centurion: Strange things often happen on the cricket field. One such incident took place in the ongoing SA20 League in South Africa, where famous Pakistani TV anchor Zainab Abbas collapsed on the field on Wednesday. Sunrisers Eastern Cape and MI Cape Town went head-to-head in Centurion. The viral video has been posted by the Twitter handle of Super Sport, in which Zainab Abbas is doing commentary on the ground very close to the boundary line.

In the 13th over, Sunrisers Eastern Cape’s Marco Jansen hit such a shot that two fielders broke down to catch the ball, the boundary did not stop, but one of them hit Zainab Abbas while sliding. Zainab, engrossed in the commentary, had already fallen down on her back before she could understand anything. However, when the fellow commentator came to know about her well-being on air, she was seen standing healthy on TV and told herself fine.

‘I have survived, but now I feel the registration. Ice fomentation is required. Take out the ice pack.’ Zainab herself spoke her heart out tweeting that video. Talking about the match, Sunrisers Eastern Cape chased down the target of 172 runs and won brilliantly. Sunrisers were already five wickets down before scoring 100, but Marco Jansen’s 66 off just 27 balls made the match. Left-arm fast bowler Yansen hit seven sixes and three fours in his stormy innings. His strike-rate was 244.44.

This is the inaugural season of SA20 which started on January 10, in which six teams will play a total of 33 matches, including three playoff matches. Two semi-finals will be followed by the final. The rules of this tournament have some unique experiments, in which the captain can name 13 players to field before the toss. After the toss, the playing XI will be selected according to the conditions and the remaining two players will automatically go into the replacement list.
