New Delhi: Double century by hitting three sixes. India’s new young star Shubman Gill has done this feat. Shubman Gill scored a brilliant double century in Hyderabad in the very first ODI against New Zealand. While opening for Team India, Shubmanan Gill scored this double century. Shubman Gill, who came to open, scored a brilliant 208 off 149 balls. Gill was dismissed on Henry’s ball in the last over of the innings i.e. 50th over. The style of the double century was such that it was completed by hitting three consecutive sixes. Gill hit a total of 9 sixes and 19 fours in his innings. With this innings, he has become the fifth batsman to do so.
Before Shubman Gill, 4 more Indian batsmen have done this feat. A few days ago, another young batsman of the team, Ishaan Kishan had scored a double century against Bangladesh. Apart from Shubman Gill and Ishaan Kishan, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma have scored double centuries.
