New Delhi: The effect of the defeat of the Indian team in the final of the World Test Championship will be seen gradually on the upcoming series. After the humiliating defeat against Australia at the Oval, Team India will hit the ground only after a full month and its next mission is the West Indies tour. In this tour, Team India has to play Test series and this series will become the first stage of change. first leaf in this shift Cheteshwar Pujara The cut is visible.
For the second time in a row, India had to face defeat in the final of the World Test Championship. In 2021, he was defeated by New Zealand. This time Australia defeated. In such a situation, a change seems necessary so that such a situation does not happen in the final of the next Test Championship.

Gradual change, Pujara’s number one
In the new Test Championship cycle, Team India will start its campaign with the West Indies tour in July. Two matches will be played in the Test series starting from 12 July. There is still time in the selection of the team for this series, but a major change is expected to happen. According to the report of the news agency PTI, the selectors and team management will not make many changes at once, but veteran Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara will be included in this tour. I will not be able to find a place.
The final of the Test Championship was not good at all for Pujara. He scored 14 runs in the first innings and 27 runs in the second innings. Pujara’s performance was also troubling because he had been playing County Championship matches in England for about one and a half months before the final.
Prior to this final, he could score only one half-century in the home Test series against Australia and flopped badly. In the last two years, his average was only 32, while only one century came out of his bat. Pujara was dropped earlier last year as well but made a comeback from the Birmingham Test against England.

Jaiswal will get a chance
Young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal may get a chance in place of Pujara. The young left-handed batsman has been in tremendous form in every format in domestic cricket for the last one year. Jaiswal had scored centuries and double centuries in first class tournaments like Duleep Trophy, Ranji Trophy and Irani Cup before his strong performance in IPL. On this basis, he was kept as a reserve for the final.
Umesh’s days are also loaded
Not only Pujara, but senior pacer Umesh Yadav is also set to be discharged. The final was not very good for Umesh and considering his growing age, the selectors are looking for a change. At present, medium pacer Mukesh Kumar of Bengal is at the forefront as a better option, who was with the team at the Oval as a reserve player.
