two goals in the first quarter
The Indian team scored two goals in the very first quarter of the match. Team India opened the account with Abhishek’s goal in the fourth minute. Then in the 11th minute the team got a penalty corner. Harmanpreet Singh doubled India’s lead by scoring a goal on this. South Africa played well in the second quarter. India got three penalty corners but the team could not score a single goal.
The series of goals did not stop
There was a close fight in the third quarter as well. But in the 44th minute, Shamsher Singh scored for India and the team’s lead became 3-0. In the 48th minute of the fourth quarter, India took a 4-0 lead through Akashdeep Singh’s goal. But soon after, Mwimbi Samkelo scored for South Africa. Before the end of the match, Sukhjit Singh also scored for India in the 58th minute. Kasim Mustafa scored for South Africa in the 59th minute. The goal came on the penalty stroke.
12th win over South Africa
This is the 12th victory of the Indian team over South Africa. There have been 17 matches between the two teams so far. In this, Africa has won only one match. Four matches were drawn.
