T20 World Cup: Took Pakistan lightly, got an unforgettable defeat, Indian women’s team will not repeat that mistake

New Delhi: The T20 World Cup match will be played shortly between the women’s team of India and Pakistan (IND vs PAK). The two teams will clash at the Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town this evening. By the way, Team India’s record against Pakistan’s women’s team in T20 is one-sided. So far, both have collided in 13 matches. In this, India has got 10 wins and Pakistan has been able to win only 3 matches.

    India lost the last match

Team India was defeated in the last T20 match played between India and Pakistan. On October 7, India and Pakistan had a match in the Asia Cup T20. In the 13th match of the tournament, Pakistan scored 137 runs for 6 wickets while playing first. Nida Dar, who came out to bat at number 5, played an inning of 56 runs in 37 balls. His innings included 5 fours and a six.

    Indian batting failed

India’s batting was completely failing in front of Pakistan’s bowling. Smriti Mandhana faced 19 balls to score 17 runs. India had lost 7 wickets for 91 runs in the 17th over. After this, Richa Ghosh scored 26 runs in 13 balls by hitting 1 four and 3 sixes. But this was not enough. India’s innings got reduced to 124 runs in the last over. Pakistan had won the match by 13 runs. Nashra Sandhu took 3 wickets while Nida Dar and Sadiq Iqbal took 2-2 wickets for Pakistan. Although India had won the Asia Cup in the end, but such a defeat in the T20 World Cup could be overshadowed.

India lost twice in the World Cup

The remaining two wins that Pakistan got in T20 against India are in the World Cup only. In the 2010 World Cup, the match played in Galle was won by Pakistan by 1 run. In the match played in Delhi in 2016, Pakistan’s women’s team defeated India by 2 runs by Duckworth-Lewis method. In such a situation, the Indian team will not play this match lightly at any cost. Especially when veteran opener Smriti Mandhana will not be able to play this match due to injury.
