England vs India, 3rd T20I: England defeated India in the last match of the T20 series. Even after Suryakumar Yadav’s stormy century, the Indian team did not win this match. Surya’s innings of 117 runs came out, but he did not get any support.
Earlier, England posted a mammoth score of 215 for seven, thanks to David Malan’s half-century of 77 runs in 39 balls. Electing to bat after winning the toss, England scored a lot of runs against India’s second-rate bowling attack. Captain Jos Buttler (18 runs) and Jason Roy (27 runs) helped England reach 52 for one in the powerplay. England had scored 86 runs for three wickets in 10 overs.
Malan’s five sixes included Ravindra Jadeja’s slog sweep at square leg and a cow corner shot off Avesh Khan’s full toss ball. Malan and Liam Livingstone (42 not out off 29 balls) then shared an 84-run partnership to take the team to this big score. Livingstone along with Harry Brooke (19 runs) and Chris Jordan (11 runs in three balls) took England to the 200-run mark. Livingstone got life when Virat Kohli dropped his catch in the deep. England scored 129 runs in the last 10 overs. Umran Malik was the top scorer, spending 56 runs in four overs and taking one wicket.
