Hyderabad: Kolkata Knight Riders have settled their scores with Sunrisers Hyderabad after waiting for a few days. With the help of the excellent performance of their bowlers, Kolkata made a tremendous comeback in the last over and defeated Hyderabad by 5 runs. Along with this, Kolkata has also kept its playoff hopes alive.
Kolkata had earlier faced defeat at home from Sunrisers Hyderabad. This time Kolkata took revenge of their defeat by defeating Hyderabad in their home. This is Kolkata’s fourth win this season, while Hyderabad has its sixth defeat.
Bad start for Hyderabad
The start of Sunrisers Hyderabad was fast and on the basis of Mayank Agarwal, the score was 29 runs till the third over. After this, however, the team lost 3 wickets till the sixth over. However, the team had crossed the 50 mark by the end of the powerplay but Mayank, Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi had returned to the pavilion. At the same time, the bad phase of Harry Brook, who had 13 crores, continued and was dismissed for zero in the second consecutive match.

lost the match
Hyderabad had lost their 4 wickets only for 54 runs and the situation was looking against them. Captain Aiden Markram remained frozen on one side and Heinrich Klaasen started batting on the other side. The South African wicket-keeper batsman brought the team back by scoring 36 runs in just 20 balls.
Here the game changed again. In the 15th and 17th overs, first Classen and then Markram were dismissed. Then in the 19th over, Rahmanullah Gurbaz took an excellent catch and returned Marco Janson to the pavilion. 9 runs were needed in the last over. Varun Chakraborty, who came for the last over, took the wicket of Abdul Samad and gave only 3 runs and sealed the victory of KKR.
KKR failed again in Powerplay
KKR had lost at least one wicket in the powerplay in every match except one match this season and this story did not change this time as well. Against Hyderabad, in fact the team lost 3 wickets in the powerplay itself. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Venkatesh Iyer fell victim to Marco Janson in the second over itself. At the same time, Jason Roy was also dismissed in the fifth over and the score was only 35 runs.

Rinku-Nitish attacked strongly
The conditions were not good, but instead of suppressing, Captain Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh counter-attacked here. There was a partnership of 61 runs in 40 balls between the two, which took Kolkata to 90 runs in 11 overs. Rana’s wicket fell here but Andre Russell did not let the pace fall by scoring some quick runs.
