Siraj’s pain after wreaking havoc on Sri Lanka, gave a big statement on IPL

Thiruvananthapuram: Indian fast bowler Mohammad Siraj has said that due to the disappointment of not being able to do well in the Indian Premier League last year, he focused more on limited overs cricket, which is now paying off. Siraj took four wickets for 32 runs in 10 overs in the third and final ODI against Sri Lanka as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 73 runs in 22 overs and India won by 317 runs.

Siraj, who was retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last IPL season, managed just nine wickets in 15 matches. Siraj said that the change happened because he focused on line and length in white-ball cricket after his failure in the IPL.

He said, ‘When the IPL season went bad, I started focusing on white-ball cricket. I worked hard on it and my confidence grew. I stopped worrying about my performance. Only focused on line and length. He took nine wickets in three ODIs against Sri Lanka. He said that when natural inswing was not available, he started outswinging the ball.

He said, ‘Inswing came naturally to me but when it stopped coming, I worked on outswing. It took time to take effect but it boosted my confidence. The more he bowled in the nets, the better he got. I also spoke to Dale Steyn in the IPL about this, which helped a lot.

It is noteworthy that Siraj played an important role in the Indian team’s world record 317-run victory. He took 4 wickets, while talking about the entire series, he had 9 wickets in his name. After this, he is being praised a lot.
