New Delhi: MS Dhoni has been world famous for his understanding of cricket. And, that is because he changed the results of many matches with his mind tricks. Umpires were forced to change decisions. So, has Shubman Gill also followed the same pattern? Is Gill’s bat and mind sharper than Virat Kohli? This question has arisen after the last league match of IPL 2023.

Actually, some such things happened in the RCB vs GT match, which forced us to raise this question or rather to fire it. Anyway, where was this match between RCB and GT? It was just Virat Kohli VS Shubman Gill. One tomorrow or today and the other future of Indian cricket. In the words of Virat Kohli, Gill is going to lead the next generation.

Virat is king but Shubman Gill is different!

Virat Kohli is a great batsman, the whole world knows this. Perhaps that is why he is also called King in the community of fans. But, Prince Shubman is also no less. As Hardik Pandya, the captain of his Gujarat Titans team says – this Shubman Gill is completely different.

Now why is it so, just understand that. In the last league match of IPL 2023, both Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli scored centuries. While Virat scored 101 not out at a strike rate of 165.67, Shubman remained not out after scoring 104 runs at a strike rate of 200.

One thing remained common between both the centuries and that was back to back centuries scored by both of them in the tournament. Virat Kohli also became the most Indian to score 8 centuries in the history of T20 by scoring a century.

Virat Jahan, Shubman will reach there soon!

There is no doubt that Shubman Gill has to reach where Virat Kohli is now. But, the speed at which he is growing, if the bat continues to move at such a fast rate, then he will not take much time to bridge the gap with Virat Kohli.

Gill is also amazing in the understanding of cricket

Not only batting, Gill was also showing signs of going ahead of Virat in the RCB vs GT match regarding his understanding of cricket. A great example of this was seen in the last over of Gujarat’s innings in the match.

RCB bowler Wayne Parnell bowled the ball against Shubman standing on strike. The umpire gave a wide to that first ball. However, Gill appealed against the umpire’s decision showing understanding. According to Gill, it was not a wide but a no ball.

When watching the TV replays, it was found that the height of the ball was above the waist, then the umpire gave that ball a no ball. Now no ball means free hit. There was pressure on the bowler, which Shubman took full advantage of. He not only completed his century by hitting a six against Parnell but also gave the team victory.
