Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi made a comeback with the bat while Iftikhar Ahmed hit Wahab Riaz for 6 sixes in 6 balls and scored an unbeaten 94 runs. Afridi, who was Pakistan’s interim selector till last month, was playing for Zalmi while Iftikhar Ahmed was leading the charge for Gladiators. After being pulled out of the PCB deal, Afridi did what he is known for.

The target of 185 was challenging after Quetta’s Iftikhar hit Wahab Riaz for six sixes in an over. In response, the Zalmi batsmen tried their best. Mohammad Haris scored 53 runs in 35 balls, while Afridi played a blistering 25 runs in 17 balls, which surprised the fans. At the age of 42, Afridi was hitting shots very easily. It was shocking for everyone.

Afridi played some big shots aggressively. Fans believed that the aging all-rounder looked younger than many young 25-year-old cricketers.
