Young pacer Marco Jensen has been included in the 17-man South Africa squad for the three-match ODI series against India starting January 19. Jensen, 21, took five wickets in his first Test last week. The hosts will be captained by Temba Bavuma while Keshav Maharaj will be the vice-captain.
Victor M, South Africa’s selection committee coordinator, said: “It’s a very exciting group. The selection committee and I are very excited about his performance.
He said, ‘For many of our players, nothing is bigger than playing against a strong team like India. This will be the biggest series for him. The first match will be played on January 19 and the second on January 21 in Paarl. The third and final match will be held in Cape Town on 23 January.
