New Delhi: Sourav Ganguly, popularly known as Bengal Tiger among the fans, became the head of the Indian Cricket Board. After this, Roger Binny, former cricketer and fast bowler of the 1983 world winning team, is holding the post of BCCI Chief. In this regard, when the great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was asked whether he too can handle this post, he gave a very interesting answer.
Sachin Tendulkar immediately narrated an anecdote. He said that I am not a fast bowler like him (Roger Binny and Sourav Ganguly were medium pacers). Sachin did not stop here. Taking his point further, he said- After taking wickets on one tour, Dada told me that I can go up to 140 kph. To this I said ok. Gangli worked hard for two days and then sat down holding his waist.
He laughed further and said – I am not a fast bowler. I can’t bowl 140 kph. The point of the whole story was that Sachin Tendulkar went round the question of becoming the BCCI chief. He played cricket for a long time and made many records in his career, some of which are difficult to break.
Sourav Ganguly tried many times to bring Master Blaster to BCCI, but he did not succeed. While being the BCCI chief, he also said that he has a plan for Sachin.
