Under-19 World Cup played together
Ishaan Kishan and Rishabh Pant played the Under-19 World Cup together for India. In the 2016 tournament held in Bangladesh, Ishaan was the captain of Team India and Pant was the vice-captain. Both used to start the innings for the team together. Pant got a chance to debut for India only after a year in 2017. But Ishaan had to wait till 2021. But now both have become key players of the team.
Ishaan Kishan’s first class record
Ishan Kishan of Bihar plays domestic matches for Jharkhand. In 48 first class matches, his bat has yielded 2985 runs at an average of 38.76. He has also scored 6 centuries and 16 fifties. Like Pant, Ishaan also scores fast runs. His strike rate is 69. In the same season of Ranji Trophy, Ishaan played an inning of 132 runs against Kerala. He has also been a part of the India A team.
advantage of being lefty
KS Bharat’s record is almost the same as his. He is already a part of the team. But there is no left-handed batsman in the top-5 of Team India in Tests. In such a situation, Ishaan Kishan has its advantage. Along with this, he can also bat at any order. In such a situation, it is possible that Ishaan will get a chance to debut in the first Test against Australia itself.
