Shubman Gill’s attack from the beginning
Shubman Gill started the run-chase for Gujarat but Wriddhiman Saha was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj in the third over itself. Bangalore had a chance to get hold of the match here. Shubman, however, had landed on the field with a different intention and was taking the Bangalore bowlers on his target. On the other hand, Vijay Shankar was also collecting boundaries in between. Gill completed his half-century in 29 balls and continued the attack.
At the same time, after a slow start, Shankar also completed his half-century in 34 balls by raining boundaries. Here Shankar got out and returned to the pavilion. There was an excellent partnership of 123 runs between the two, which put Gujarat in a strong position. However, here Bangalore lost the wickets of Dasun Shanka and David Miller.

Hit a century by hitting a six, won the match
Gill, however, stood on one side and this ultimately proved fatal for Bangalore. Gujarat needed 8 runs in the last over, while Gill was just 2 runs away from his second consecutive century. Wayne Parnell’s two consecutive balls were no ball and wide, leaving 6 runs needed in 6 balls. Then Gill not only completed his century by sending the first right ball for a six, but also gave the team a memorable victory.
The rest failed, Kohli alone set the tone
Talking about Bangalore’s innings, it was only in the name of Virat Kohli. In the last match, Kohli scored a memorable century against Sunrisers Hyderabad. This time too he started the innings in the same manner. Kohli and captain Faf Duplesey again started fast and made a half-century partnership in the powerplay. This time, however, Duplessi could not play a big innings, while Glenn Maxwell also got bowled by Rashid Khan after scoring two good shots.

At the same time, Mahipal Lomrod also got out early. It was decided from here that only Kohli would have to handle the innings. He also got some support from Michael Bracewell in the middle and then Anuj Rawat at the end but the runs mainly came from the bat of Kohli, who scored his second consecutive and record 7th IPL century on the first ball of the 20th over. On this basis Bangalore scored 197 runs losing 5 wickets.
